Getting ready

It's really complicated to walk away from your day to day life for 4 months. Things like getting the house ready, what to do with the cars, what to do with mail, taxes, security, finances, etc. These are LUXURY problems at best, but they do take some time to sort out.
Luckily I have one of the greatest neighbors of all time to watch over my home and help me out if I need to address anything while I am gone. Lisa, you are a godsend. I look forward to being able to meet your friends in New Zealand.

My list of to-do's topped out at over 80 last weekend, and luckily it stands at 21 today. The goal is to get it to be under 5 by next Tuesday. I like goals, I love crossing things off. I may even find some time to bake some Christmas cookies this weekend. One big item is that I need to get back into tennis shape. I have been struggling with gout the last 2 weeks and it has limited my mobility. Its time to push through the pain and get active. I played doubles last night and that felt wonderful. Can I just say that I have been overwhelmed by the love and support I have received from the Facebook community regarding my sabbatical. I hope that you will find the blog enjoyable, and I will do my best to keep it going.
