I Can Drive on the Left

It really was not an issue at all. I felt so empowered getting into the drivers seat after 5 weeks of not driving a car. I loved it. And I loved my little Kia. Speaking of which, the only thing that has me wanting to come home is to sell my Tesla. If I could just find a republican to buy my car for nearly what it is worth. All I want to is to cover what is owed on the car so I can walk away.
That being said, I will only but an electric car, and if anyone has any suggestions, well please let me know.
I wake up in the bush of Southern Australia, just outside Port Arthur. It is a beautiful spot, ina lovely cabin nestled in the woods. About 200 yards from the ocean.
Yesterday I drove about 1.5 hours south from Hobart. Stopped at an amazing beach and watched surfers. Then went to a wonderful vista.
Then I sopped by the UnZoo. A very interesting place where they have 2 types of animals. First are the kangaroos and Tasmanian Devils. These two animals are “housed” in that they have borders and cannot leave. The rest of the unzoo is built to encourage animals to come and feed, but there are no borders, they are free to come and go as they seem fit.

So it’s was interesting, I saw some caged devils and I saw some wild devils. I saw an amazing array of birds and a wallaby. Pictures to follow.
Last night I spent way too much time reading about the American president and all of the initiatives he is taking to allow white people more privilege, and to make the rich richer. It’s that simple people, he is a racist, he is only interested in making white people more rich, or the few non-whites that are willing to act white to play his game.
I see 2 things occurring. Horrendous new policies trying to be passed. And chaos. I am hoping that the chaos gets in the way of all of his initiatives.
More importantly, for me right now, I wish I can compartmentalize this, and go back to enjoying my trip. While I struggle a bit with having such a great time while others are really struggling, I also hear from people that they need the distraction of my journey to help balance their lives. So I will do my part.
Today I head to Part Arthur historic site. 2 very important infamous things occurred at this site. The first one they talk about, the second one they should talk about. This is the home to the prisoners of Tasmania. I will learn much more about them over the day.
The second one, is that there was a mass shooting here back in 1996. This atrocity is what caused gun control to become a policy in Australia. They banned all automatic weapons and have tight control on all other guns in Australia. And it has worked.
The number of mass murders by tune in Australia since the gun control laws were passed in 1997 has been ZERO. The number of mass shootings ion the USA since that time has been over 1000. With a death toll of more than 10,000.
IT’S THE FUCKING GUNS PEOPLE. If you own an automatic firearm, please do me a favor, and get off of my blog. Anyone that’s owns an automatic firearm is not a responsible gun owner. If you are as responsible gun owner, I am happy to discuss gun rights and legislation.
OK, back to happy, joyous and free.
As I said, time to mlearn about the convicts and go see some more beautiful places. And eat amazing food. By the way, they have drive through shucked oysters here. What could be better???
